Dry rotting will cause cracks and leaks in the air shock. A usual life span of an air shock can be up to 5 years. If the air shocks are not replaced on time, leaking air shocks will cause the compressor to turn on frequently trying to maintain the correct air pressure and eventually damage and burn out the compressor.
